I took a long motorcycle ride on Sunday, doing the three-mountain ride: Hood, Adams, St. Helens. I should have gotten up early, or chose to wait until the end of the day, but it just wasn’t meant to be, and I still wanted to get some shots in, even if they’re placeholders for when I get a chance to get back out at the right time of day (and year).

When I first started shooting, years ago, I thought I wanted to be a landscape photographer, but I honestly never had the patience for it. I would like to get there, though, and I do notice–as I go back over the year here on the site–that I have a few landscapes that I feel are on the right track. This isn’t a great shot, by any means, but I do like it, and it’s once of my favorite places to be on the bike.
